Yesterday I was part of a discussion that was in a totally analytic and critical headspace but it was about something that is only real and visceral. I'm distressed, because my argument became separate from my interlocutors who were arguing all sorts of reason-related things and I was arguing that they should stop arguing that way and instead see the situation for the reality that it was.
I just want people to sometimes consider that there's more to the world than academia...? Maybe take a breather from arguing why, philosophically, something should continue to exist, when, personally, it represents the total depravity of humanity.
Just some complicated, vague thoughts about something I should totally not be focusing on but is still bothering me.
Good talk.
