I'm holding you closer than most.

Just now, I was sitting at my desk doing some reading, with my Ron Pope station playing on Pandora, and "Drop in the Ocean" came on. I can still remember exactly where I was when I first heard it -- on the couch in the HOFL with Jocelyn, studying for fall finals. We were listening to her Damien Rice station, and I'd never used Pandora before, so I didn't understand the miracle of new music that it brings. Ron Pope's voice came out of Jocelyn's laptop speakers, and I stopped what I was doing. Each time it comes on, I still stop what I'm doing. Though I've heard it a hundred times and I listen to Ron Pope all day, it still speaks to me like it did then. I think that Ron Pope is the soundtrack of my heaven. Heaven doesn't seem so far away anymore.
